Parks, zoos and gardens

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden: whilst walking around wooden-carved elephant statuses, as well as beautiful trees and flowers, some of them exclusively found in Thailand, you will be able to visit a french-style garden, an orchid garden, a european-style garden and many more. This garden was created in 1980 by a couple of thai locals with the objective of exhibiting and protecting Thailand's flora.
Million Years Stone & Crocodile Parc: as its name suggests, this place offers to see i;pressive crocodiles show or simply as a zoo; but there is a lot more to do. You will find a nice park with many thai flowers (like in Nong Nooch), and also a large zoo with various species from across the world. It is a very entertaining place for the whole family, close to the city of Pattaya. Another place set by a local businessman who wishes to expose thai culture and fauna to the world, the park is located in Bang Lamung district, northern Pattaya.

Elephant Village Pattaya: not far from the city center, this elephant heaven will allow you to interact with the biggest terrestrial mammals, in a green, peaceful environment.
As the garden was set in order to protect the elephant population, most of them are "retired" after working for a lifetime and you will be able to see them; while a few can be ridden under conditions; unlike some places that exploit these animals. As an example, you can trek through the jungle with them, and discover the great surroundings only minutes away from the city. Do not miss this unique experience that only Thailand offers!

Temples, monuments and museum

Prasat-Sut Ja Tum, also called the Sanctuary of Truth. Located on the beach, on Soi Naklua 13, this dramatic building came from the idea of a thai billionaire, who desired to show in a single sanctuary the several artistic and philosophical ideas that have been influencing Thailand for centuries. For 500 baht per person you will be able to visit the sanctuary located in an amazing spot, witness elephant shows and enjoy the vicinity.
Anek Kuson Sala is a three-floors museum that gathers antics and art from buddhist Asia (Hong Kong, China, Thailand, etc) in a great scenery and architecture while many pavilions host some of the finest Chinese art collection of Thailand, twenty kilometers away from the city. The exposed art helps understanding Thailand and its cultural history, as well as East Asia. Great choice if you want to deepen your knowledge of the kingdom of Siam.

Mini Siam, in the city of Pattaya, is a park of miniatures that expose the greatest monuments and temples from Thailand, in addition to internationally known monuments from all over the world. The park also aims at educating younger generations about the cultural treasures of the kingdom of Siam. Here you can (re)discover the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Colosseum, buddhist temples and many more from a different perspective!
If you like hikes and splendid viewpoints, the Big Buddha on top of Pattaya Hill will answer your need of exploration! Located in the city, yet in a nature, green spot, this golden Buddha and the many other ones, as well as their surroundings show another perspective of Pattaya.

Wat Chai Mongkon is a buddhist temple located within the city center. Designated royal temple by the king in 2013, it is filled zith activity and you will always see a monk willing to talk.
